Vinelink and Who is this person?

According to vinelink.com which tracks offenders, he is in custody as of yesterday. And I rec'd email today saying he had a court date on 6/26. I left a msg with my states attorney advocate asking her to let me know what that court date is for and for the status on our most recent complaint. I also know he was out of state during this time but dont know if it helps them at all.

We are still waiting on the credit card fraud and another breaking of the order via the credit card.

I look at his name as it came up on the offender's site and its someone I never met. I can and I can't picture him. I feel no connection to him - I know the kids don't. Its like reading about someone you have a nodding aquaintance with.

Our lives are good. Its so much better than when he was here - even when he was here years and years ago before the manic hit.

He has been manic now for over a year. Probably something to do with his having taken those meds for depression when he never really needed them.

So here we are - enjoying our summer, preparing for our summer vacation trip. And there he is - not 10 miles away - sitting in his high watch cell wearing his bright orange jumper planning how he is going to change the world.

In a way, I was disappointed he was brought in. The girls' therapist has told me to prepare for bad news about him - that this has only one ending and that is his premature death either at his own hand - purposefully or accidentally, or someone else's who he tics off. It is not vindictive- I think that is pretty clear from my writing - but I really hope for his death. Its practical. He's never going to recover. He is a threat to me and my kids. And we keep having to play Order of Protection games with him. His life is, for all practical purposes, over - he has no reason to pull himself back together as it has never been about anyone but him.

So there you have it. Now I've said it. And I mean it and I'm not sorry for it.

Catch Up...

Wow! Its been a long time since I've blogged. With the kids out of school and having to put summer schedules into full-swing, I've been busy!

The Readers Digest version is ...

We saw him again in the library two weeks later and he followed us from there to the police station. Once again, the police refuse to see anything short of direct confrontation as a problem. I took it to the States Attorney who is already doing two cases against him and they are reviewing it.

Then, we were supposed to have a court date on June 12 and he had an additional one in criminal court. His lawyer showed up but he didnt. He had told his lawyer he would not be showing up because he had too many important things to do. So they issued two warrants for his arrest. His lawyer said he got very upset and was yelling at him when his lawyer refused to prepare papers to ask the court to release $50,000 of his 401K to run an ad in the New York Times on Fermi Lab's accelerator. I have no idea why. On July 11, his lawyer is filing papers to withdraw from representing him.

Then we found he opened a credit card in our oldest's name but with his own social security number and age. And he used it. We are waiting for the papers on that so we can put that complaint in.

Then, a few days ago I rec'd a paper from a local suburban police dept saying the Camry was in an accident - it was one of those reports you have to fill out. It was marked hit and run tho it said the Camry was towed away. I figured it was a "typo" of sorts. They would not tell me anything over the phone.

I called my advocate at the States Attorney's office to see how I can tell when he has been arrested and she told me there are four warrants out for him now. Two for the previous arrests and now two more - one for no insurance on his car that was in the accident, and one for leaving the scene of an accident.

Something must have happened to his other car - the Matrix - for him to be driving the uninsured one.

So now we are looking at those four warrants plus the case the states attorney is looking at plus the criminal charges associated with falsely opening a credit card and the breaking of the Order by signing my son up for a card and using it (harassment).

His life is shot.

Eeeeek! 2 Unpleasant Events

We saw the FSO yesterday. Apparently there are no libraries east of our town and he must come out to ours. Note: he lives more than 20 miles away. Hmmmm. What could be his point? But if I looked as bad as he, I would be ashamed to show myself anywhere near people who used to know me. He looked like he was in his 60s. Grey beard, super short hair, hunched over.

My girls absolutely panic'd. We pulled into the parking lot and he was getting into his car. They noticed him and started crying and demanding we leave. Finally I gave in and tried to leave. He came out the other driveway - never looked at us once so I'm not sure he even saw us.

Then my girls didnt want to go into the library. But I was the person driving the car so back we went. My oldest was crying in the parking lot as we went into the building but stopped once we got there. Then she refused to aknowledge that he even existed. My youngest kept talking about it - how she was scared and how having the Order of Protection meant they didnt have to talk to him so we would be okay - over and over again. Then she had nightmares at nite.

Then yesterday I found out he cancelled our health insurance as of 5/31. I found out too late to do anything about it. I have to call today and find out if we have COBRA.

I am trying hard not to get angry about this. One has to be cold and logical to get things done efficiently. I can want as much revenge as I can get and try to punish him by what I ask for in the divorce. But it just isnt going to happen. I have to ask for what is fair and let his actions reflect on him so the judge goes my way. In addition to cutting our insurance without giving me a chance to pick it up, he also wants me to support him.

Sure, I can pick up insurance for us - it will be very expensive - but my youngest had a stroke in utero and, as a pre-existing condition, its next to impossible to find someone to take her on. I've applied for the state kids insurance. I know her provider for her accepts that insurance. I have to find who else does.

What kind of man does this to his kids?

The answer is he is no kind of man at all.
